In 2024, Tesla announces the improved version of its Model 3 Performance, the brand’s flagship sedan, featuring a set of performance-focused upgrades: a power output of 460 horsepower through dual motors, capable of reaching 262 km/h and achieving 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds.
The brand promises more responsive handling with adaptive damping, improved aerodynamics, including a carbon fiber rear spoiler to reduce drag, a stiffer chassis, and more powerful brakes.
As for range, the Tesla Model 3 Performance can travel up to 528 km according to the WLTP standard. Its battery supports fast charging with a maximum DC power of 250 kW, allowing it to regain up to 228 km of range in 15 minutes of charging.
Starting at around $54,000 before incentives and additional options. The Performance variant costs more than the standard Model 3 but offers significantly enhanced driving dynamics and features.

Learn More About the Tesla Model 3 Performance (2024)
After (a lot of) leaks, Tesla has officially launched the most powerful version of its Model 3. The Model 3 Performance is back, with even sharper performance… and a significantly reduced price! Here are all the details.
Power? 460 hp (Tesla, for once, is sharing this figure). Adaptive suspension, a stiffened chassis, revised brakes, and even a new “Track Mode,” the Track V3, are all designed to ensure that this Model 3 excels in corners, not just in straight lines.
The Model 3 Performance will therefore have three driving modes with different handling characteristics:Standard: Significant improvement in comfort and absorption.
- Sport: Suspension control for quicker stabilization times and improved steering response.
- Track: Maximized control and body response with reduced adjustment for high and consistent performance on closed tracks (automatically selected in Track Mode).
Range has also increased, rising from 512 km to 528 km according to the WLTP cycle. In terms of appearance, the exterior remains understated. The bumpers have evolved slightly, becoming somewhat more aggressive, while this Model 3 Performance receives 20-inch forged aluminum wheels. Tesla mentions a drag reduction of up to -5%, a lift reduction of -36%, and a 55% improvement in front-to-rear lift balance.
The new Model 3 Performance also comes with all the new changes introduced in the Model 3 update, such as a rear window, customizable ambient lighting, and more. It will also feature sport seats, previously seen on the Model S, as well as Warp 20-inch wheels.
Still Cheaper
Another great advancement of this new version is that it is less expensive despite the improved performance. While the previous Model 3 Performance was priced at $57,990, the new model now costs “only” $61,000.
A rather logical decision, which aligns with the recent price drop of (almost) all models—standard Model 3s, as well as Model S & Model X—while, on the other hand, the Model Y has seen its prices increase.
Is it a coincidence? Tesla will present its financial results tonight, and they might not be very good. Could the unveiling of this Model 3 Performance be a way to soften the blow?
